FLASH 5
Michael
Wiest

This is a work in progress. Michael wants to revise the font to something more modern. This site features his listings and currently he is investigating ways to send out his magazine ads as Buyer Alerts.  The photography of his centrals is of notation.  Take special time to view all of the photos of his inventory…these photos tell a story.  His treatment of listings sells boats over the Internet. GOOD Photos, sells product!

McKINNA Yacht Sales of Southern Calif.

This site was designed over three years ago and still is doing a great job. It is giving Garret’s customers a chance to thoroughly experience the McKinna line via the photographs.  They are large and interactive. This means one can “surf through his inventory” with one’s mouse. On the opening photo of the Mckinna 65, click on the main windows on the opening photo, then on the dinning table, etc …… give it a try.

Garret is able to keep the costs down because he manages the brokerage listings personally.  I only host this site now with very minor changes. I recently did their Ad Layout for Yachting, YachtsforSale, and SEA Magazines.

Berkeley Boat Sales, Inc.   I N A C T I V E

This is a recently designed site.  It is a new site and is gaining in popularity in Europe. One of this site's unique qualities is that is offers commercial owners an opportunity to display their properties on Internet, FREE.  Several, very unusual bargains can be found on this site.  A decommissioned cruise ship is being considered as a possibility for condos, timeshares, and casino for a city on the Black Sea.  You will have to surf this site only a few minutes to discover it's unique qualities.
Go see for yourself:

FLASH 5
Yachts Pacific, Incorporated

This is a project under progress and due for completion April 01, 2004.
It is going to be almost entirely Macromedia Flash 5 in cascading style sheets for navigational purposes.  One of the most demanding aspects of this site is that it will posses the quality of listing a customer's boat almost as soon as the listing agreement has been signed.  This gives it broker complete control over the yachts he carries in his briefcase.  Take a look for yourself:  http://www.yachtspacific.com
FLASH 5
COCOro
This is a Japanese Bistro page in an attempt to attract their business. It turned out so nice, I decided to include it in this list, even though it isn't really a web site.  It is just a Home page that can be modified to any customers domain name. Click on the thumbnail to have the full experience.

Computer Ware

This is one of my first animated sites.  It also contains sound, but this is not advised, music wears our to quickly.  I worked with HP and Compaq to link this site to their online catalogue of products.  The site pays for itself through online purchases, specially priced items via this site.  The original animation was done with FLASH 5 software, the latest software for web design. This site’s construction costs were $7,500.

Coming Attractions Theatres

This site is hosted in Ashland, Oregon.  There are about 14 theatres represented here, all with current schedules, maps for diving directions, and phone numbers for discerning the current show times.  The site is about two years old and hosted by another service in their local community.  I put up film festival announcements when needed.  It is a very basic site which pays for itself through the coupons sold directly on the site.  Very little monthly costs are encountered.

Associated Rack Corporation
This company owns 13 factors across the USA. They specialize in racks for plating metals onto plastics and printed circuits and many other applications.  They have a mascot “RackMan” which is displayed on all of their materials.  This is another example of animation doing the introduction of a site. Something the viewer sits back to enjoy for a brief 15 – 20 seconds prior to entering the primary home page of the site.   http://www.associatedrack.com

HANDICAPSTUFF.com  I N A C T I V E
This is an online catalogue of solutions for hospital discharge planners, and healthcare professionals. It provides a pictorial array of solutions to show the patients for problem solving in their situation.  Of course, I will be happy to help with purchases and installations.  I am currently making a CD that will be distributed to over 2000 Northern California health care consultants.  This CD will become a primary tool for them facilitating their services to the physically impaired community.

Norwegian Connection
This site is for foreign travelers from Norway who wish to remain connected to local news back home. Travel connections, hotels, local activities and more are offered within this site.  It isn’t producing it’s own revenue, but it attracts over 1,000 visitors each month.

Unique Tropical Rentals
This site promotes the rental of four properties, two in Mexico, and two more in Hawaii.  It is a detailed tour of each property and leaves one ready to book a vacation before surfing onto another location.  All four places offer a Unique vacation opportunity.

PersikeandDameron
Work in progress  . . . .a site to facilitate customers in their quest for the authorized doctor under their insurance plan.  It also brings customers to their financial services and estate planning.  This site isn’t completed and will be developing in the weeks to come.

PersikeandDameron. . . second try.

The drop down menu for navigation is new and promotes the site's surfing ease.  The site will offer every kind of protective insurance as well as financial advise for all levels of investors.  Rusty, the resident CEO, is a Springer spaniel with the ability to befriend anyone.  Still under progress, and probably so for quite awhile.  This is going to be a big one.

OCEANIC YACHT SALES
John Baier is Sausalito’s dealer for the Grand Banks line of trawlers. I made this site as a temporary solution to his needs for a web site. He liked it so well, plus he liked not spending further monies, that it became his primary site. It displays his entire line of yachts via Yacht World, while making it clear he is the Grand Banks dealer for the Northern California market.  The site was never finished, but it does everything John wants it to do.  It supports his magazine ad campaign nicely.

Richard Boland Yacht Sales

This is one of my first yachting sites. I designed this home page but later shared the credit with my fiancé who learned how to make the water move.  She did all of the photography and I did all of the web design. Together we have been able to make a modest living over the past four years.  This is my first example of Java Scripting and search engine placement.

If you have gotten this far, you probably can stand some more information.

People often ask "what does a web site cost"?  This is very difficult to answer as there are many facets to a site.  For me to give them a canned answer, would be slightly dishonest.  I couldn't possibly guess at the correct amount of time a given web site will consume, nor could I ever understand the person's question, without knowing their expectations.  Each web site is unique, and as such, has it own price.  This price is usually arrived at after discussion about the initial reasons for wanting a site.  I never answer the question, without asking the question, "...why do you want a web site?"

Usually, I can help a person focus their intention and increase their possibilities for success.  I am in my sixties, been a small business owner, sold capital equipment to Medical centers and hospitals across the USA, for thirty years. Traveled extensively in foreign countries, and have been around the block and back again, one might say.  I definitely do NOT fit the description of being a propeller head.  So, all of this helps, but the real value of a web site is that it opens your doors to millions of viewers, otherwise, there is nothing you can do to touch this many people. But like everything else, "potential" doesn't bring home the bacon.  A fantastic web site is only the world's best kept secret, if it doesn't find it's way into the Internet's "main stream".  I have taken sites from less than 100 visitors a month, to 9,000 visitors/Mo in about three months.  This is probably more valuable than the cost of building a web site.

Will your web site make money? I really don't know, but if your business is making money now, then there is little reason it won't do equally as well on the Internet, if someone like YOU, commits the ACTION to make it so.  If you wish to discuss this subject further, give me a call.  There is much more information available via a friendly chat.
